On Transgender Day of Visibility 2026, Colorado lawmakers look to honor Jax Gratton, a 34-year-old transgender woman who was described as brave, kind, and strong. Jax was an activist who passed away in 2025 and was honored at the Colorado Capitol on Transgender Day of Visibility 2026.
Senator Kolker shared remarks in honor of Jax, saying, "On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor Jax for how she lived, how she loved, and all she did for the state and the world. Have a Jax day today. Do something kind." Senator Katie Wallace also spoke on Transgender Day of Visibility, reminding members that "visibility without safety is not enough".
